WHAT IS ADVENTURE WORLD?
Adventure World is a company dedicated to providing top quality outdoor equipment at budget prices to all campers and adventurers alike. Being a low-cost supplier of outdoor equipment, they pass on these cost savings to the diverse needs of their customers.

STREAMLINING ADVENTURE WORLD'S E-COMMERCE EXPERIENCE
Categories and product pages had no form of filtering. Articles, outdoor articles and videos were in the way of the global navigation which was distracting. The site in general was not portraying value and generating visitor's to purchases.

COMPETITIVE AUDIT
• Despite lack of variety in products, its affordability still makes it a worthwhile place to shop at.
• Needs to build some sort of credibility online.
• The ease of navigation and use of imagery for the other sites were much smoother and intuitive.
• Sites with product review’s readily available can also perform much better.

WHAT DID WE UNCOVER THROUGH OUR INTERVIEWS?
To understand user motivations, processes and past experiences, we conducted an user interviews - recruiting users who have had varying degrees of proficiency with
e-commerce websites as well as brick & mortar shops. Mapping our early assumptions' revealed focus areas to zoom into when validating the research.

DEFINING THE USERS
We generated 2 distinct personas (users) to help us understand user motivations, pain points and needs. Their needs were then used to inform the direction of our product.

TESTING & FEEDBACK
To validate our designs, we tested with 5 users remotely on our mobile prototype. Our purpose was to test the reimagined flow with the goal that users could easily and efficiently browse, locate and learn more about Adventure World's products.

MY LEARNINGS
Forcing myself to ask deeper, user-centric questions during the research phase helped me create a product that met diverse user needs. This approach provided the insights and tools to answer my questions. I am pleased with the outcome of my first e-commerce platform, gaining fresh perspectives on what makes a good e-commerce experience.
